TEAM Coaching
offers a tremendous opportunity to increase performance and to improve individual well-being (which can reduce sick-leave and burn-out rates). This holds true for teams at all levels of an organisation, strongest top-down impact at the leadership level. It does not only apply to misaligned / “difficult” teams, but can also help teams under external stress, and newly formed teams.
My role
as a coach is to guide, facilitate, encourage, and contain the team process. As a coach, I do not take sides or get involved in the business task itself (unlike in management consulting). I leverage my business experience to mirror back to the team how their misalignment impacts their business performance. It also helps me to get under people’s skin more quickly as I can relate to their business challenges.
My goal
as a coach is to help my client team to think and act together as a successful team achieving its goals, vs. a set of individuals with their own (sometimes hidden) agendas. I support the team to surface all those frustrating, and often unsaid, issues that get in the way of good decision making and operational effectiveness. I also help the team members to develop a new, authentic language and new rules of engagement.
